After delivering succesfull projects for other Amazon areas we have created a new platform that improves the buying experience in the softline area: The suitcases vertical.

Improving Amazon

The functionalities that the Amazon shop can offer are limited, each area can’t customize the user experience without limitations. That’s why they appointed us to create an external platform that can offer advanced features.

The goal of the project is to allow users to find the perfect suitcase. Filtering by airline, or luggage location users can see which suitcases will fit in the space during their flight.

UX Design

Following the Amazon design styleguide we created a platform which goal is to help the user find the right suitcase. Here at Mr Milu we have years of experience optimizing checkout process and reducing the amount of steps so conversion can be optimized.

Integrations and Data Flow

The technical challenge in this project was capturing data from the different sources and syncronizing the platform’s database with the Amazon data.

By launching schedulled asynchronous background task the prices, product data and images are continually updating.

Also the Airlines source data is enriched before uploading so we can also use the size and the spaces of the airlines available.

This project started as a prototype and has been evolving every year to become one of the strongest sell weapons that the department uses every summer to increase book sellings.
